Past Pupils' Gathering
20 November 2012
Dear Past Pupil of Coláiste Iognáid,
We are writing to you as a past pupil of Coláiste Iognáid. Celebrating 150 years on Sea Road, we are proud of our great history and tremendous accomplishments over that extensive period. As a past pupil, you are an important part of the Jes tradition and story. We are committed to involving you in the life of the School and our growing network as we embark on our next sesquicentennial!
It gives us great pleasure to invite you to our inaugural past pupils' gathering on Thursday, 6 December 2012, 7.00-9.00 p.m., in the School Hall. Entitled The Jes Experience, this evening will allow you to meet old friends, renew acquaintances and learn about the wonderful progress of the Jes today. Two of our prominent past pupils will share their experience of the Jes and how their school days have helped shape and inform the career paths they have chosen:
Enda O'Coineen, an adventurer, entrepreneur and philanthropist who have shared these experiences in his book "The unsinkable entrepreneur".
Dr. Geoffrey Shannon, Solicitor, Government Rapporteur on Child Protection and Chairman of the Adoption Authority of Ireland who played a prominent role in the recent referendum on the rights of the child.
It promises to be an informative and enjoyable event.
