ongratulations to Jes Leaving Cert student, Jack Colbert, who has won two silver medals at the IPC European Para Powerlifting Championships in Hungary. Jack only took up the sport earlier this year when he was contacted by Irish powerlifting coach, Ken Hurley. Ken had spotted Jack’s phenomenal success at the IWAS (International Wheelchair and Amputee Sports Federation) World Junior Championships over the past two years where Jack has won a plethora of medals in field events across the board including a gold medal in the shot putt and a silver in the discus last year.
