he 15th of March was Proclamation Day across Ireland – a day for schools to commemorate 1916, celebrate the present and imagine the future.  Our school, under the able guidance of teacher Eileen Nic Dhonnacha, engaged with the 1916 commemorations in a fantastic range of events and activities.  We were lucky enough to have the opportunity to share our Proclamation Day celebrations with the nation on both Iris Aniar on Raidió na Gaeltachta and Morning Ireland on RTE Radio 1.

Our own world gold medalist, 6th year student Jack Colbert, opened the ceremonies on the day by raising our new flag outside the school.
