he Coláiste Iognáid Rowing Club is having an Open Day for all “Jes “ parents at the Rowing Club next Saturday 17th October to allow parents to try Rowing in special rowing boats for beginners.
This is not confined to parents of rowers.
This type of rowing for adults known as “Social Rowing “ is a very fast growing type of exercise requiring no advance preparation, fitness or familiarity with rowing.
Simply turn up in very basic warm training gear.
This will be held between 12.00noon and 2.00pm and participants should allow the two hours if possible.
There is no charge and no advance booking simply turn up at the club which can be accessed by turning into Distillery Road, Newcastle (turn at AIB Bank) and continuing along Distillery Road and veering right at the bottom with the river on your left and you will arrive at club which is located adjoining the Corrib Rowing and Yachting Club.
